Collection of Confidential Data

Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, data must be disposed of securely and confidentially.

In accordance with BSIA standards, Datashred Limited is able to collect and dispose of confidential data using your containers (and thus cover the risk) or using our own range of paper recycling products - providing a full tracking process to ensure no items are tampered with.  Ties for the security sacks are provided in consecutive order, each with their own unique serial number so if a tag were to be removed (which is only possible through cutting) then it will be evident that the package has been tampered with.

We collect office grade paper and mixed grade paper as well as cardboard using box bodied vehicles with lockable doors.  On no account are vehicles left unattended with unprocessed material on board.  All vehicles are fitted with engine immobilisers or alarms and all Datashred vehicles are live tracked with a receipt issued on collection of material.  Once collected, the confidential data is taken to our secure site for secure shredding, a Certificate of Destruction is then presented.
